Details: Isaac Heywood, in the service of government charged with drunkennes and riotous conduct at the barracks. William Douglas, Overseer of the prisoner barracks states....Heywood is a very troublesome character. I have frequently had to complain of him. Last night he returned to the barracks very drunk and was making a great noise in the room at a late hour. Sentenced to 50 lashes

Details: Isaac Heywood per Canada, charged with breaking out of the watch house and neglect of work and absconding from the barracks. Chief Constable James Calvert testified....On Sunday night last it was reported to me that Heywood was absent from barracks. He was found the same night about 10 oclock lying in a state of intoxication. He was conveyed to the watch house and about one oclock in the morning in going on my rounds, I saw him there; about 1/2 past two he was reported to me as having escaped by forcing one of the wooden posts of the watch house window....Sentenced to hard labour and one month in the cells at night
